“I have put on muscle mass, I’m getting definition, feel healthy and full of energy" - Simon Jeavons
I was looking for a gym to join and doing the rounds as you do. I got to one gym and they asked "have I thought about personal training"; I hadn’t. I was introduced to Mike that very evening and we spoke about what I thought I wanted to achieve and how best Mike would help me to achieve my goals. I initially wanted to get toned and improve my cardiovascular system with the idea of putting on trying to increase my muscle as well.
So the night arrived for my first session and I was nervous not knowing what to expect. Already Mike had made sure I had remembered and was ready by texting me earlier as a gentle reminder. The first night he went through my health and diet and he put me on a couple of the cardiovascular machines to see how I faired. For the rest of the week I was gently introduced to more exercises and a diet plan. During this time I was wondering if I had made the right decision using Mike as it was quiet a gentle approach. What I hadn’t realised was Mike was scoring every movement I was making and formulating a programme to start my training off in the right direction.
So, the following week an exercise plan was ready and Mike started me on what has been a fantastic road of learning how to use the equipment and free weights. Every four to five weeks the programme changes and every session you’re pushed to achieve the best you can. Mike educated me over the next few months about what I could and couldn’t achieve and helped me work out what I really wanted. He also moved me to change my diet to support the training and gave me a plan to follow which ensures the effort put in at the gym comes out in the change in body shape and form.
What’s truly great about Mike is the harder you push yourself the hard he pushes you, as he really does want you to get the best out of you. He’s there to support you on exercise, diet and knows that you have questions when you’re not at the gym. He still finds the time to answer them and put your mind at rest until your next session. He is truly inspirational and for me was the best choice. He is passionate about fitness and getting the results you want and is determined to help you get them.
So now 14 months on I have put on muscle mass, I’m getting definition, feel healthy and full of energy, oh yes and I can do push-ups and lift my own body weight something I couldn’t do at the beginning.
